About the Course
In Aboriginal community-controlled and community service settings, strong supervision is not just about oversight — it’s about growing confident, culturally grounded practitioners who can deliver safe, consistent, and high-quality support to children, families, and communities.
This workshop has been developed in collaboration with Aboriginal community-controlled organisations to strengthen supervision practices that are reflective, relational, and strengths-based. It focuses on how supervision can become a space for learning, support, and accountability — a place where case managers are guided to think deeply, act ethically, and work collaboratively for the best outcomes.
Participants will:
Explore frameworks for culturally responsive and strengths-based case management supervision.
Learn how to structure supervision conversations that build reflection, problem-solving, and confidence.
Use solution-focused and trauma-informed approaches to strengthen decision-making and client outcomes.
Develop strategies to support staff wellbeing, manage complexity, and prevent burnout.
Reflect on their own supervision style and enhance cultural and relational safety in practice.
Build the capacity of case managers to work in a client-centred, collaborative, and accountable way.
Who should attend: Managers, team leaders, coordinators, and senior practitioners who provide or oversee supervision within case management or community service teams.
